After graduating from the Department of Composition at Tokyo University of the Arts, the composer traveled extensively for six months throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, focusing on the theme of sacred music. During a stay in Jerusalem, he composed "Sinfonia" for Orchestra, which was selected for performance at the 19th Contemporary Japanese Orchestra Concert and premiered by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Kazuhiko Komatsu. The work was awarded the 17th Japan Symphony Foundation Composition Prize and was later nominated for the Akutagawa Composition Award hosted by the Suntory Foundation for the Arts, where it was performed again at Suntory Hall. Since then, it has been performed repeatedly in various locations around the world.

In international competitions, he was a finalist at the Finzi Academy Composition Competition in Milan, Italy, and at the Sibelius International Composition Competition in Finland. He also received an honorable mention at the FIMS International Competition in Switzerland. In 2022, he participated in the Composers Workshop at the International Trombone Festival held in Arkansas, USA.

As a composer and arranger, he has worked with numerous orchestras both in Japan and abroad, including the Saito Kinen Orchestra, Mito Chamber Orchestra, La Musique de la Garde Républicaine (France), and the Dresden Chamber Opera Orchestra (Germany).

In his role as a producer, he served as general producer for cultural events such as the Edo Traditional Performing Arts Festival and the Yuyake Dandan Music Festival held at Higashi Honganji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo.

As a pianist, he has performed with the brass quintet of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Melange Ensemble, and in concerts throughout Japan. He studied composition under Kenjirō Urata, Izumi Yamada, and Teizō Matsumura, and served as an assistant in the final years of Tōru Takemitsu.

He previously served as a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts and currently teaches at the University of Human Arts and Sciences while maintaining an active career as a freelance composer. He also lectures on Composition, Music History, Music Theory, Organology, and Musical Analysis at Tsuru University and Musashino Academia Musicae.

He is a member of the Melange Ensemble, the Japan Federation of Musicians (JFM), and serves on the editorial board of Performing Arts Yearbook. He is also a board member of the Dōseikai, the alumni association of Tokyo University of the Arts.
